A backyard scene during fall with a sky filled with scattered clouds and the sun partially visible. The ground is covered with fallen orange and brown leaves. There is a wooden structure with a hammock attached, surrounded by trees with mostly bare branches, and outdoor seating with a fire pit made of rocks in the foreground.

Take a deep breath. This space is thoughtfully curated to elevate what matters most. You!

Our Story

In 2024, the owners purchased this early 1900s farmstead with the original intention of farming the land. It didn’t take long to realize the property held something far more special—something worth preserving and sharing—so they chose to stay, thoughtfully updating the space into a place where families and friends can gather, slow down, and reconnect. Katie felt a deeper vision take shape: to honor the history of those who once called this land home while inviting new stories to unfold in its quiet, peaceful setting.

What began as a simple vacation rental soon grew into something more meaningful, evolving into a space for women’s retreats and intentional experiences. There’s a natural pull to this land—it invites you to pause, reset, and ground yourself in a way that feels both restorative and real. Cottonwood is meant to be a place where people come not only to rest, but to reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the rhythms of nature.
